Nice people but the food was not. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak. The meat was purplish pink and tasted funky. He ate some of it until he found a hair and then he was done. The waiter was nice to have it replaced with the grilled chicken. The sides tasted ok, the loaded mashed potatoes were dry as if they were premade in advance. I was hopeful based upon other reviews but we won't be back.
I come here almost every morning before work, and I’ve always had a great experience. I even brought my mom today because we were out shopping, and I’m always talking about how good the food and customer service are. When we arrived, Tammy greeted us and told us to sit anywhere. We sat down and waited. Everyone seemed busy, and Tammy began clearing tables. As she worked, two more families came in. She greeted them as well and told them she’d be right with them. My mom and I waited ten minutes, but Tammy never brought menus, asked about drinks, or checked on us at all. She did, however, check out one family and take drink orders from two families who arrived after we were already seated. Alicia came out to clear a table and immediately noticed we didn’t have menus or drinks. She went straight to get silverware and menus and came right over to us. When she realized we hadn’t been helped, she apologized sincerely. Throughout our visit, Alicia was professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. She completely turned our experience around, and I truly appreciate her stepping up. My mom ended up enjoying the food, the atmosphere, and the excellent customer service she received from Alicia. Thank you so much for making her happy.
This restaurant caught me by surprise. I googled coffee location in search for anything other than Starbucks and this gem appeared. Upon walking in you get laid back cafe vibes. Coffee was great and paired with a slice of pie of choice along with a scoop of ice cream! Tammy was very helpful in making our first experience welcomed. I tried the fried chops platter and it was delicious.
5:40pm Mar 16 By far one of the greatest mom and Pops diners I’ve ever been to. The burger was only $9.99 with the fries and I am full which hardly ever happens. The service was on point the flavor was on point the fries were still good after eating the burger. Food was still hot. I could not be more happier. There are tons of parking, tons of seating. Even perfect for the kids so go ahead and come on down and grab your burger today. Spacious and clean. Here are the names of the workers that had the spotlight today, Angie, Bash (In photo)
Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Had everything I could’ve asked for - chicken fried steak, gravy, eggs, biscuits(split in half and toasted, mmm), hash browns… Great place. Also, they open super early(5am), which was convenient. Definitely a place I’ll visit again whenever I can.
Lunch was just ok but it’s a great homestyle breakfast along with nostalgic options for folks that grew up poorer like us. Nobody else I know puts bologna and spam on the menu and it’s good. Eggs, hash browns and biscuits with gravy great every time. Love having the big bowl of creamers and jellies available. The burgers though, they’ve been thick and chewy. I rarely fail to finish a meal but I couldn’t get down the last one.
I brought an empty yeti cup so they could fill it while i had breakfast. Refused to serve me because i brought an EMPTY yeti in to drink out of to keep my coffee hot and to take a to go cup. Willing to pay for it all. I got up and left. There are other places to eat at than to be treated this way while wearing a 1st Cav veteran hat. These small businesses wonder why they struggle. First dont treat customers as if they are in bootcamp. The place had about 4 tables occupied at 8am. SMH. Unbelievable in today’s economy.
The Food was fantastic. Especially the burgers. Be aware the burgers are HUGE so the double cheeseburgers are to be reckoned with.. lol.. but, they are delicious 😋 . Great place to come if you are super hungry and want great food and great service..
